I purchased this dress from the original owner for my April 2015 wedding. I included her notes in this description so you have a full story of the dress by both owners
First Owner: I purchased this gorgeous Eden dress by Jenny Packham for my October 2014 wedding at Mark Ingram in New York City. We were married in an old converted brass foundry in Brooklyn, and a more conventional dress simply would have felt out of place. The dress consists of a silk sheath and a cap sleeved beaded overlay.
I immediately fell in love with this dress. I struggled with wedding dress shopping because everything made me feel so unlike myself – uncomfortable and confined by the overabundance of fabric. But the Eden, so delicate and elegant, stood out with its intricate detail and soft flowing shape the moment I saw it. I received so many compliments on the dress – people simply hadn’t seen anything like it before. Also, several people commented on how relaxed and comfortable I looked wearing it – I didn’t spend any time readjusting or pulling it up, I was able to use the restroom without assistance, and I danced all night long without worrying that people would step all over a bustle or long train.
Our wedding had a rather bohemian chic vibe, but this dress is so exquisite it could work in any setting.
Second owner: I purchased my dress from Once wed. I was helping a friend of mine look for dresses for her wedding before I was even engaged. I saw the Eden dress and couldn't stop thinking about it for myself. Once engaged, I tried it on in a Jenny Packham store and fell in love with it! We were married in one of the oldest buildings in New Orleans and my dress fit the decor perfectly. I think everyone loves their dress, but it was one of the best decisions I made in all of the wedding planning. I felt like the first owner and didn't see myself in a traditional dress. The Eden fit my style and I continue to receive so many compliments.
